“Theft” is a a joint exhibition by the Jewish Museum Vienna and the Wien Museum, which explores the unprecedented looting during the Nazi era. Thousands of apartments were plundered by various organizations and private individuals. Stolen furniture, artworks, and ornaments were seized. Many were sold or given to Viennese museums. The exhibition presents various objects and videos which shed light on those dark times.
